Swing Bridge

   Selby railway swing bridge over the River Ouse.  First stage of the former Hull & Selby Railway as it heads to Hull.  Boats have priority so every time the bridge swings rail traffic comes to a hault.  The bridge used to carry all of the East Coast Mainline (ECML) rail traffic, but the ECML was re-routed in the 80s and now avoids this bottleneck.
