Drax Line

   This section of the H&BR passing through Carlton was re-opened in the early 80s to allow coal trains to supply the newly-built Drax Power Station about a mile behind the camera.  The buildings just visible on the left are part of the former station on this site - Carlton Towers.  They are now a private residence.
