Poland

Poland has a great deal to offer in terms of architecture.  It has many ancient buildings such as the castle at Bytow which now functions as a hotel (Hotel Zamek).  Cities such as Warsaw, Gdansk and Poznan suffered terrible damage during the Second World War, but have been rebuilt to recreate the original with remarkable care.  In many countries concrete buildings would have been thrown up as a quick fix.

The photographs in this gallery feature some of the most interesting buildings in Poznan, Bytow, Gdansk, Warsaw and Torun.  Click on the thumbnail images below to see the full sized picture.
